Bullas has most of its lands located 500 metres above sea level. It is characterized by cold winters with snow episodes and dry and hot summers. Torrential rainfalls are frequently in autumn and spring. Brown calcareous earths are characteristic of the foothills and hillsides.
The vineyards extend over hillsides and valleys of this mountainous area whose altitude is around 400 and 900 metres above sea level.
The predominant vegetation is dryland farming, mainly vineyards, cereals and almond and olive trees and in a smaller proportion fruit trees, like apricot and peach trees.
As regards natural vegetation, we can find plants like Thyme, Lavender, Sage, Salsola, Artemisia, Poppy and surrounding this farming landscape we can find Aleppo pine forests, in which undergrowth we can find Holm oaks and Junipers.
